Assignment #14- Haley Noehren- Green Beans for the Win

My thanksgiving used to be held in a modest two story house out in Morgantown, West Virginia. We always spent thanksgiving with my moms parents because my dad didn't have the best relationship with his dad at the time. Every year all three of my moms sisters would meet up for the week at my grandparents house for dinner, crafts, and getting caught up. About three (maybe four) years ago my grandparents moved to Lexington to be closer to one of their kids. Since then thanksgiving has been smaller, due to the fact that a majority of my moms family live in the D.C. area and don't want to make the long drive to Lexington. My family usually cooks the food for thanksgiving. My absolute favorite food- green beans. Not green bean casserole, just plain green beans. I don't like a lot of the other thanksgiving food. I like mashed potatoes, turkey is ok, and I kinda like stuffing. But green beans, those are so much better. For the most part, I do enjoy thanksgiving. I love being able to see my cousins and family and spend time with them. I also really like food, and this is the one holiday where eating green beans in excess is socially acceptable. And pie.  I love (most) pie. Basically, I love food and family, so thanksgiving is a pretty cool holiday.
