Assignment #14 A Typical Thanksgiving- Benjamin Webster
My family doesn't do anything particularly for Thanksgiving. There is usually the football game at noon to pass an hour before we eat. My grandparents usually come over and enjoy the meal with us. Afterwards, I relax while my grandparents make their rounds talking to everyone while drinking coffee. Since Thanksgiving isn't exciting, indulge in more traditions surrounding family meals in my family. Every December 31st we try to eat shrimp and drink Ale-8 though that usually my thing. On January 1st, our family eats black eyed peas. Christmas Eve, our family decorates our own sugar cookies. One time when I was little, I secretly ate all six of my cookies when my parents weren't looking. To this day I still get poked at for it. Halloween night, my brothers and I would sort out the loot, make trades, and pay tax to our parents. Hot dogs are devoured on Fourth of July. Before every school year, we eat salmon and I usually ride my bike for as long as I can, reflecting on my summer.
