Assignment 14- Annie Bohannon- A Small Town Thanksgiving
My mom and my dad are both from a small town in Southern Kentucky called Franklin. So for Thanksgiving every year we make the two and a half hour journey to visit with our family. I always love going down there because it gives me a taste of a different life that I don’t live. For example, my cousins have horses and cows in their front lawn. They wake up early on Thanksgiving morning to go hunting which is not something I experience often in my life in Lexington. I love all my cousins but I only get to see them once a year. So when we all get together again we have the best time ever. This year we played games for hours after we ate and it was so fun. My cousins are all in college now so we talked about their schools and how I’m going to come visit them soon. I love Thanksgiving because I love getting to see all of my family and eating good food! What could be better than that?
