Assignment 9- War- Sam Chavez

I am hoping that we are all in agreement that war, is bad. Deep analysis, I know. In a non realistic and ideal world, the need for war would dissipate, and deadly conflicts would cease to exist. However given the large egos of political leaders in today's rapidly modernizing society, I doubt that this day is coming very soon. The need for war should not, and should never be used as a first resort when discourse is reached though. Before lives are pointlessly lost at the hands of a warring country, I believe that every other measure should be enacted in an attempt to prevent a full war from breaking out. However given the independent and resilient ideals held by Americans, sometimes a war is inevitable. Following the attacks on New York City on September 11, 2001, the war on terror was started, with the purpose of pushing back on Afghan terrorist after the attacks on the nation. While some day I hope that the children of the day don't have to worry about if their dad will come home, and lives will not be taken at the hands of a warring country, at some point in political disagreement, war may be unavoidable.
