Assignment #14-Emma Lauritzen- what a coincidence (did I spell that right?)

I will begin with a question. What made you name this blog post flying turkeys? Well since you did I will begin this response with a story that was described to you briefly in an email.
The date- November 24th
The place- Some highway in Virginia
Who- Colonel Brown, Mr. Biddle, Ms. Andrews, Dr. Bolander, Dave the bus driver, and the model UN club
Where- a bus
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we were all on a bus on the way back from the college of William and Mary. Most of us had fallen asleep because we were exhausted when SKRR SKKRRRTT, we almost ran off the road. I see a look of fear, especially on the face of Santiago, who I have just kicked very hard. I and the rest of the back of the bus assumed we blew out a tire. Then we see that the window has a crack slowly moving up from a part of the window we cannot see. A wild turkey had flown into the window and bounced off, shattering the bottom corner of the window. Long story short we drove to west Virginia (my least favorite state) and got a new bus. Colonel Brown also gave us turkey feathers.
Ok back to the prompt. My brother, mother, my dad (kinda), and my crazy great uncle are the only democrats in our family and because of some previous "incidents" with my brother we are no longer allowed to talk about politics at thanksgiving.
My favorite parts of the holiday are target shooting over the lake behind my uncle and aunts cabin and playing with my younger cousins. My favorite foods for the day are Turkey, mashed potato, rolls, and corn pudding.
