Assignment #15 - Megan Ewing - Harry Potter

You can probably tell by how much I’ve mentioned it in my previous blog posts, but Harry Potter really geeks me out. I just can’t help but bring it up. I’ve gotten my entire family obsessed with it and I’ve even watched a fan musical based on the series. Needless to say, I’m a bit of a super fan. I watch videos on theories based on the books or reviewing the Fantastic Beasts movies. I think it really gets me because of the themes throughout the books and the mystical ideas of the magic. The overall theme of the books is that love conquers all, which I think is an amazing message, bringing positivity to my somewhat dreary childhood. I also had a dream about Harry Potter while reading one of the books. The series also brought me a wonderful group of friends in middle school, some of whom I am still friends with today. Overall, Harry Potter is a true obsession for me, but not only because of the story itself. The other people in the fandom have truly brought so much joy to my life.
