For all my life people have told me not to room with your best friend in college. My mom says not to room with someone you know at all, to branch out and meet new people. But as college is approaching faster each day the idea of a roommate seems more daunting. My mom and her freshman year college roommates are still friends to this day. They were even bridesmaids in each others weddings. I am close friends with her roommates children. But I try to keep my expectations reasonable. The chances of me finding a lifelong friend in my future roomie are slim. But I still can't help but hope that we have the same connection that my mom and her roommate had. In my everyday life I like to have fun and make everything an adventure. I watch an excessive amount of tv and eat way too much take out. But the thing is that all I am really looking for is someone to share this crazy new experience with, and even if we don’t become friends for life I hope me and my roommate will make a lot of memories.
