Assingment 14: Hannah Qazi - total feast mode

I always find it ironic that the one day Americans are actually thankful for their privilege, the very next is survival of the fittest over a toaster. I still have to admit though that I've had my fair share of shopping marathons searching for the cheapest, most unnecessary items I can find that end up in the corner of my closet. Truthfully, I think this holiday brings out the worst in people, especially my family. While most families gather round their dining tables to give thanks, my family takes it as an opportunity to prove their culinary abilities to one another, leaving no room for left-overs. I can't complain though because I usually dedicate most of the day to the Harry Weekend Potter Marathon while the rest of my family foolishly spend hours getting ready to just sit in the dining room. I mean if the foundation of this holiday is completely false itself why should we even celebrate it? I guess it's just yet another excuse to 'gobble till you wobble.'
