Assignment #10 - Buddy Goodwin - How I would survive the zombie apocalypse

I feel like I would fare decently during a zombie apocalypse as I have spent more time than I should have thinking about what I would do. First I would head straight out to our family farm and along the way I would stop at any store I deemed safe to run in and grab supplies. Some key supplies I would be looking for would be anything metal as you can burn that using simply a fire and melt or mend it into something sharp to use as weapons. I would grab as much food and medicine as I could find and if I was lucky there would be batteries, flashlights, seeds for plants, and possibly a crossbow or bow and arrow. I would then gather anything else I could see as useful and head straight to our farm house. Once I was there I would work on securing the house by boarding up windows and providing extra strength to doors. Then in the long term I would dam up part of the stream near our house and make a tiny lake that I could use as a water source and I would try to start a garden while I lived off of the food I had originally gathered and what ever else I could hunt or catch. While I hope (and know) that the day will never come, I fell like I would be decently prepared for a zombie apocalypse.
