Emma is one of the nicest people I know, and I don’t say
things I don’t mean. Apart from having perfect handwriting that I wish I could
emulate, she is diligent, organized, on top of everything. We are complete
opposites in that I procrastinate everything (school-wise) and she
procrastinates nothing (school and life-wise). She’s already into college,
people !! Emma cares about her family and friends. We’ve bonded over our
siblings not-so-stellar, senior-year relationships, and how we have learned
from their mistakes and won’t be doing the same thing. I’ve gotten this far
without mentioning volleyball, which is kind of a sin. In some ways, though,
I’m glad because there is so much more to Emma than volleyball no matter how
impressive she is as a player. I’d say she’s a kind of periwinkle/creamsicle
color. I hope she doesn’t hate those colors...not something we’ve talked about,
but I think mellow tones are perfect for her because she is humble and kind,
calm, cool, and collected, but also happy, smiley, and full of personality.
Emma is gonna do amazing things at and beyond Yale. Of course, because she’s
uber-intelligent but because more so because she is herself!
