Assignment #3 - Max Carlson - Travelling all Over

I am not rich. But at the end of last summer, I took a trip with my church youth group to Jackson Kentucky. We split time between helping a small church down there that let us stay with them, and helping an extremely poor family do small things like paint their house or put in stepping stones so they could go outside when it rains without slipping. This experience with them taught me to not take anything I have for granted and to be appreciative for everything i have. This family was severely poor and had almost nothing but each other. The two kids were so appreciative of everything we did to help, and were so proud to show off everything they had. They took us around their trailer and showed us every little thing they had, like a couple of lighters, a lawnmower, and some candles. This extremely poor family was super proud of everything they had, so we should be too.
