Assignment #2 - Max Carlson - Words on a Page

Over the past twelve months, I haven't read as much as I should have, but I have read The Great Gatsby, Enemy at the Gates: The Battle for Stalingrad, Randoms, and Otherworld. The first two were required readings for classes last year. The Great Gatsby was a required book that we read as a class for AP Seminar. It wasn't the type of book I would usually read: historical realistic fiction, but I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. Fitzgerald's style was very fun to read. Enemy at the Gates: The Battle for Stalingrad was the book I chose out of a list of options for AP World. I chose it because it focused on, as titled, The Battle of Stalingrad. I figured this would've been an interesting topic to explore, but it was not fun at all. It ended up not interesting me at all and, while I did finish, I didn't read it as in-depth as I should've because it was so boring. The last two, Randoms, and Otherworld, I chose to read. They were both sci-fi/fantasy novels that are right in my wheelhouse. I enjoyed both a ton, and I intend to read their sequels.
