Assignment 18- Emma Lauritzen Drive. Watch. Help

1. Before I graduate from high school there are a lot of obvious things I want to accomplish. I want to figure out what college I want to go to and what I want to study, I want to go to Costa Rica, I want to learn more spanish, and I want to create world peace (lol...maybe). The one thing that has been on my bucket list for years though, is to go on a road trip with a friend. I got close a few months ago, but I  dont think a day trip to Louisville counts. I want to get in a car with my best friend and just drive, only stopping for snacks and gas. I want to make memories that are my own and dont belong to family vacations (which are great), summer camps, or school.

2. Finish the movie list. My parents made me a list of movies that I need to see, mostly classics from the 80s and 90s. Its more than a list of movies to me now though. My parents recently separated and it brings back years of memories sitting on our green couch in the family room, making popcorn, and watching movies. Memories of watching my dad fall asleep in his chair before the credits rolled of every movie. Memories of always asking my brother to join, him saying no, just on the chance that on that rare occasion he says yes. Memories of almost burning the house down making popcorn, and watching Forest Gump run to Jenny through the reflection pond for the first time. Bright orange memories. Jubilant memories. But part of me never wants to finish the list because I dont want to lose those ever so fleeting memories of a happier, more secure time.

3. I want to truly help someone. Help someone in a way that goes beyond any job or hobby, but impact someone the way fire impacted cave man. Someone once helped me like this and I think its only right to do it for someone else.
