I am your typical white male. That shouldn’t surprise anyone who glances at me. It’s safe to say I can disappear in a crowd. So it was much to my surprise when I took an Enneagram test and got a four. To recap what that means, it means I’m that person who sticks out like a sore thumb and thrives on that. When my class found out, there were no shortage of laughs and roasts. My friend recommended a different test called the Myers-Briggs 16 personality test. I got a personality type called “The Campaigner.” It’s kind of a four but is considerate and more fun to be around while maintaining uniqueness and independence. That’s what I think was missed by the Enneagram test. Schools can look at me as a person who can work well with other people, but also someone who is comfortable being by themselves. I would be adaptable to any situation. I live in a six person family so I don't mind sharing. I have a diverse set of interests. I’m balanced and mentally strong. Universities accepting me will be more than satisfied with my presence at their institution.
